Granola

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Oats

  • 2 cups Flax + Granola Cereal (Nature's Path)

  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg

  • 1 cup Tropical Dried Fruit

  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon

  • 2 tsp Salt

  • 3 oz Vegetable Oil

  • 7 oz Honey

  • 1 cup Craisins

  • 1/4 cup Sugar

  • 1 1/2 cup Cashew chopped

  • 1 cup Walnuts chopped

  • 1 cup Raisins

Utensils

  • Measuring cups and spoons

  • Mixing bowl

  • Baking sheet pan

  • Cutting Board

  • Chef’s Knife

  • Oven

  • Saucepan

  • Spatula or mixing spoon

Cooking Instructions

  1. Toast oats with cinnamon and nutmeg at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.

  2. Simmer vegetable oil, honey, and brown sugar until the sugar dissolves.

  3. Chop cashews and walnuts.

  4. In a bowl, mix together the toasted oats, flax + granola cereal, dried fruits, and nuts.

  5. Slowly add the syrup (oil, honey, and brown sugar mixture) to the oat mixture, and continue mixing until everything is thoroughly combined.

  6. Add salt and almond extract to the mixture.

  7. Spread the mixture evenly on a sheet pan.

  8. Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  9. Let the mixture cool.
